This body of work is my most recent. Prior to that, I didn’t consider my work to be political or polemical in any way. Ironically, I am a very opinionated person but somehow I didn’t really feel that this was the place to express it and as a consequence most of my career has focused on creating beautiful and strong imagery for people to enjoy, including myself. I was developing my craft, refining my style and growing as a person. Some might say that there was always something deeper, an invisible voice behind all the strong and powerful women I portrayed, and they might be right, but it wasn’t something that I did consciously.
