Les Toupies d'Oskar
Les Toupies d'Oskar is a collaboration with French puzzle editor Editions Sulo.
They approached me to do a limited edition 1000 pieces puzzles that would double as a framable piece of Art.
The puzzle illustration was inspired by the Bauhaus Ballet developed by Oskar Schlemmer. The ballet became the most widely performed avant-garde artistic dance.
I had wanted to create a piece inspired by ts incredibly vibrant costumes for a long time and this collaboration was the perfect opportunity to do so.
The Puzzle was produced as a limited edition of 500 units, each of them containing 1000 pieces. The box and puzzle pieces were printed using pantone Pantone colours.
To accompany the release of the puzzle, I also decided to release the full artwork as a limited edition Giclée print on Photorag paper.
